Unpacking & Creasing

Your cover has been folded for compact and safe transport.

• Unfold the cover and allow it to sit flat in a well ventilated area before fitting.
• Fold lines are normal. Most will release once the cover is fitted and the insert takes up the shape.
• If you would like to soften any remaining creases, use a fabric wrinkle release spray, or lightly steam with a handheld steamer.

⚠ Important: Olefin fabric is heat sensitive. Always use the lowest heat setting when steaming or ironing to avoid fabric damage.

Fitting Your Cover

Covers are cut for a firm, tailored fit. A little resistance on the first fit is expected and is what keeps the finished cushion looking sharp.

• Confirm your insert size before fitting. Covers are sized to match Silux Poolside Cushion inserts and are not designed to fit other cushions.
• Turn the cover so the zip is at the back, then work the insert in one corner at a time, aligning the insert corners with the cover corners before pushing the rest through.
• If the fit is tight, slide the insert inside a large plastic bag first, feed it into the cover, then pull the bag back out. The bag lets the insert glide rather than grab.
• Once fitted, stand the cushion on each edge and pat firmly to settle the insert evenly into the seams.
• Close the zip fully. Leaving it part open allows dust and moisture into the insert.

Cleaning

Routine cleaning:

• Spot clean with warm soapy water and a soft brush.
• Rinse thoroughly with a hose and allow to air dry completely.
• Rinse with fresh water after chlorine or salt water splashes. Residue left to dry is what dulls the fabric over time.

Sunscreen, tanning oil and insect repellent:

• Treat these as soon as you notice them. Blot with a clean cloth rather than rubbing, then wash the area with warm soapy water and rinse.
• Oil based products are the most common cause of permanent marking on outdoor fabric. Prompt attention matters more than the product you use.

Machine washing:

• Remove the insert and wash the cover on its own.
• Zip the cover closed, then machine wash on a gentle cold cycle, water temperature not exceeding 40°C.
• Do not bleach. Do not dry clean. Do not tumble dry.
• Lay flat to dry fully before refitting. Refitting while the fabric is still slightly damp makes the job easier, but the insert must be completely dry.
• Iron on low heat only if required.

Storage & Maintenance

• Store covers clean and completely dry. Any moisture left in the fabric will cause musty odour and marking over time.
• Keep spare or seasonal covers folded loosely in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
• Rotating between two covers extends the life of both and keeps fade even.

Important Usage Notes

This product is a cover only. No cushion insert is included.

• Designed for use with Silux Poolside Cushion inserts. Check your size before ordering.
• A new cover placed alongside an existing cushion may appear slightly different in colour. Olefin is highly fade resistant, not fade proof, and fabric that has spent seasons in direct sun will have softened in tone. This is expected and is not a fault.
• Slight variation between production batches is normal in outdoor fabric.
• This cover is water resistant, not waterproof, and is not designed to be submerged in water.
• Damage resulting from misuse or inappropriate use will not be covered under the Silux Quality Guarantee.
• Dispose of all packaging thoughtfully and keep out of reach of children.
