Important Use Note
Soaks is designed for water absorption and everyday wet foot traffic. It is not designed for continuous direct sun exposure. For best performance and longevity, treat Soaks like a towel. Use it when needed, then hang or store it out of direct sun once dry.

Soaks is built around two layers that need slightly different things from you. The absorbent top handles the water. The non slip base keeps it where you put it. Looking after both is what keeps the mat working.
Everyday Use
- Treat Soaks like a towel rather than a rug. Use it when you need it, then hang it to dry.
- Hang over a rail or line to dry fully. Drying flat on the floor traps moisture underneath.
- Lift the mat and let the floor beneath dry out from time to time, particularly on timber, vinyl and sealed surfaces.
Cleaning
- Wipe clean, or rinse with fresh water and a mild detergent.
- Rinse the underside as well as the top. Grit, dust and sunscreen residue trapped under the base is what causes it to lose grip.
- Air dry completely before storing or reusing.
- Do not bleach and do not use harsh chemical cleaners.
Protecting the Non Slip Base
- Never tumble dry, iron or apply direct heat. Heat damages the backing, and once the grip is gone it does not come back.
- Rinse rather than machine wash. If you do machine wash, use a cold gentle cycle only.
- Do not dry clean.
- Check that the mat still grips properly on wet surfaces. If it slides, wash the underside, dry it fully, and make sure the floor beneath is clean and dry before laying it back down.
Sun and Storage
- Soaks is designed for water absorption and wet foot traffic, not for continuous direct sun. Extended sun exposure will fade the colour and shorten its life.
- Once dry, store indoors or in a shaded spot.
- Roll or fold for storage, and always make sure it is completely dry first. A mat stored damp will develop odour and mildew.
Important Usage Notes
- Designed for absorbing splashes, drips and damp feet in bathrooms, at the back door and beside the pool.
- Always place on a clean, dry, flat surface. Any mat placed on a wet or polished floor can move underfoot.
- Not designed to be left permanently outdoors or in continuous direct sun.
- Damage resulting from misuse, heat exposure or inappropriate cleaning will not be covered under the Silux Quality Guarantee.
- Dispose of all packaging thoughtfully and keep out of reach of children.

Good quality mat, now just have to wait till summer comes around to use it…

Having gloss interior tiles means lots of little slips when kids run in from the pool. These mats are a great safe, no slip option. I deducted a star purely for aesthetics - they look amazing when new but outside with kids and pets the white will get dirty easily. All in all a fantastic product!!
