Your mounting kit fixes your sign to a solid surface. It is what keeps a compliance sign in place, so it is worth a check with each season.

What It Is For

• The Silux Mounting Kit suits timber fences, Colorbond and masonry walls, and includes screw caps for a clean finish.
• For glass pool fencing, use the Silux Heavy Duty Suction Caps. For traditional aluminium pool fencing, use the Silux White Cable Ties.

Installing

• Match the wall plug to the surface you are fixing to.
• Drill straight and to the correct depth, then seat the plug flush before driving the screw.
• Tighten firmly but do not overtighten. Too much force can distort the sign or strip the plug.
• Press the screw caps on last for a seamless finish.
• In poolside and coastal positions, stainless steel screws will outlast plated ones and will not leave rust streaks down the wall beneath your sign.

Before You Drill

• Do not drill into pool fence posts, panels, gates or any part of the safety barrier without first confirming it is permitted.
• Modifying a barrier can affect both its structural integrity and its compliance.
• If you are unsure, use suction caps or cable ties instead, or check with your pool certifier or local authority.

Seasonal Checks

• Check that all fixings are still firm at the start of each pool season and after strong winds.
• Retighten anything that has moved, and replace a plug that no longer grips rather than forcing the screw.
• Look for rust staining below the sign, which is a sign the fixings need replacing with stainless.
• Replace any screw cap that comes away.

Cleaning

• Rinse fixings with fresh water after chlorine or salt water exposure and wipe them dry.
• Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.

Keeping Your Sign Compliant

• Your sign must stay securely fixed and clearly legible to do its job.
• Mount it where it can be read easily from the pool area, and where it does not obstruct a clear view of the water.
• Never mount a sign, or position anything used to mount it, in a way that could help a child climb the barrier.
• Positioning and compliance requirements vary by location. If you are unsure, check with your pool certifier or local authority.

Important Usage Notes

• Designed for mounting Silux signs. Use only for that purpose.
• Replace any fixing that is worn, corroded or no longer holding rather than reusing it.
• Damage resulting from misuse, incorrect installation or unsuitable mounting surfaces will not be covered under the Silux Quality Guarantee.
• Dispose of all packaging thoughtfully and keep small parts and packaging out of reach of children.
