We get it. Most of the time you’re not actually in the pool.
You’re stretched out, supervising, chatting, soaking up the sun or enjoying a slow moment with the family.

The Poolside Daybed was created for exactly that.

This is our most luxurious piece yet. A sculptural, five piece design that instantly turns your pool area into the most comfortable spot outside. Whether your space is concrete, tiled, stone or timber, the daybed brings a resort level feel and gives you a place to properly unwind.

The daybed is made from three base panels that zip together seamlessly, with two bolster pillows that secure neatly on each side. The whole silhouette forms a soft, curved arch that looks premium and feels incredibly supportive. Everything lines up cleanly and stays in place.

Sized at 2.1 metres wide and 1.2 metres deep at the fullest point, it’s generous without feeling bulky and gives you plenty of space to properly stretch out.

And just like our Poolside Cushions, it includes the signature Silux over edge detail that sits neatly over your pool edge for that refined, custom look.

Wrapped in our Natural Olefin fabric, it’s soft to the touch, coastal toned and works beautifully in any outdoor setting.

Made from durable, UV resistant Olefin and 120mm high density foam, it’s built for the real Aussie lifestyle. Easy to move, easy to clean and ready for long summer days.

*This daybed is water resistant, not waterproof, and is not designed to be submerged in water.

Unpacking & Recovery

Your Poolside Daybed arrives as five pieces: three base panels and two bolster pillows, each vacuum sealed for safe transport.

  • After opening, lay each piece flat in a well ventilated area for 48 to 72 hours to fully expand. The 120mm high density foam takes longer to recover than a standard cushion.
  • Gently pat and press across the surface with both hands to help the foam open up.
  • Indirect sunlight or a warm room will speed the process.
  • Some minor creasing may remain after expansion. This is normal and settles with use. A fabric wrinkle release spray or a handheld steamer on the lowest setting will soften anything that lingers.

⚠ Important: Olefin fabric is heat sensitive. Always use the lowest heat setting when steaming or ironing to avoid fabric damage.

⚠ Important: Take care when cutting into the outer plastic. We recommend scissors or a blunt tipped tool rather than a sharp blade, as cutting too deep may damage the foam inside.

Assembling & Zipping

The three base panels zip together and the bolsters secure on each side, which is what holds the arched silhouette in place. The zips are hidden for a clean finish, so a little technique makes the job much easier.

  • Lay all three panels flat and fully aligned before starting any zip. Most zip resistance comes from panels sitting slightly out of square, not from the zip itself.
  • Start each zip from one end and travel in a single direction, easing the panels together with your free hand as you go. Never force the pull against a misaligned panel.
  • Assembly and pack down are easier with two people, with one person holding the panels aligned while the other runs the zip.
  • Keep the zips clear of sand and grit. Rinse them with fresh water and brush any sand away before closing. Grit dragged through a zip is the most common cause of damage.
  • Rinse and dry the zips after chlorine or salt water exposure.

Cleaning

Routine cleaning:

  • Spot clean with warm soapy water and a soft brush, rinse thoroughly with a hose, and allow to air dry completely.
  • Rinse with fresh water after chlorine or salt water splashes. The over edge panel sits closest to the water and will need this most often.
  • Rotate and swap the panel positions occasionally so wear and fade stay even across the daybed.

Sunscreen, tanning oil and insect repellent:

  • Treat these as soon as you notice them. Blot with a clean cloth rather than rubbing, then wash the area with warm soapy water and rinse.
  • Oil based products are the most common cause of permanent marking on outdoor fabric. Prompt attention matters more than the product you use.

For heavier stains:

  • Separate the pieces and remove the cover from the affected panel only, using the zip.
  • Panel covers are large. Check your machine capacity before washing, and use a commercial front loader if the load will not sit comfortably.
  • Zip the cover closed, then machine wash on a gentle cold cycle, water temperature not exceeding 40°C.
  • Do not bleach. Do not dry clean. Do not tumble dry.
  • Lay flat to dry fully before refitting. Refitting is easier with two people.
  • Iron on low heat only if required.

Moving & Storage

  • Lift the panels to move them. Dragging across concrete, stone or tile will abrade the base fabric, and the underside is the part you will never think to check.
  • Bring the daybed undercover in heavy rain, and always in storms. 120mm foam holds a significant amount of water and takes days to dry through.
  • If a panel does get soaked, stand it on its edge with airflow on both sides and allow it to dry completely before storing or reassembling.
  • Store the panels flat or upright on their edge. Avoid folding, rolling tightly or stacking heavy items on top for extended periods, as prolonged compression will set into the foam.
  • Always ensure every piece is completely dry before it goes into a storage bag. Foam that is stored damp will develop odour and marking.
  • When not in use for long periods, store in a cool, dry place away from prolonged UV exposure.

Important Usage Notes

Your Silux Poolside Daybed is built for poolside lounging.

  • Use only for its intended purpose. Do not jump or bounce on the daybed, and do not use it as a platform for entering the pool.
  • The daybed is water resistant, not waterproof, and is not designed to be submerged in water or used as a float.
  • Keep the assembled daybed clear of the pool edge if children are using the area. The over edge detail is a design feature, not a barrier.
  • Olefin is highly fade resistant, not fade proof. Some softening of colour over years of direct sun is normal.
  • Damage resulting from misuse or inappropriate use will not be covered under the Silux Quality Guarantee.
  • Dispose of all packaging thoughtfully and keep out of reach of children.

Just received my poolside daybed

Just received my poolside daybed , it came super fast and packaged well, assembled nicely and the storage bag l purchased extra is so handy . The bed zips together to keep in place but this means unzipping to store in bag if you don’t want to leave out all the time and the zips can be a two man job to do easily so l wished you could just fold up in bag all zipped together which would be handy . The bed are super generous and will be perfect in summer along the pool edge and can’t wait to lounge on it.
