Your suction caps hold your sign on glass pool fencing without drilling. They are what keeps a compliance sign in place, so they are worth a check with each season.

What They Are For

• Silux suction caps are designed for glass pool fencing.
• They will not hold on Colorbond, powder coated aluminium, timber, render, brick or any textured or profiled surface.
• If you are mounting to Colorbond, timber or masonry, use the Silux Mounting Kit instead. For traditional aluminium pool fencing, use the Silux White Cable Ties.

Fitting and Reseating

• Suction caps hold best when both surfaces are completely clean.
• Clean the glass and the face of each cap with warm soapy water, dry both thoroughly, then press firmly to seat.
• Sunscreen, dust and salt residue on either surface are the usual reasons a cap lets go.
• Seat all four caps evenly so the sign sits flat against the glass.

Seasonal Checks

• Check all four caps at the start of each pool season, after very hot spells and after storms.
• Reseat any cap that has lost grip, cleaning both surfaces again first.
• Replace any cap that will no longer hold, rather than reusing it.
• Keep a spare set on hand so a cap can be replaced the same day.

Cleaning

• Rinse with fresh water after chlorine or salt water exposure and wipe dry.
• Clean the caps with warm soapy water only.
• Do not use solvents, oils or abrasive cleaners on the caps or on the glass where they sit. Anything that leaves a film will stop them holding.

Keeping Your Sign Compliant

• Your sign must stay securely fixed and clearly legible to do its job.
• Mount it where it can be read easily from the pool area, and where it does not obstruct a clear view of the water.
• Never mount a sign, or position anything used to mount it, in a way that could help a child climb the barrier.
• Positioning and compliance requirements vary by location. If you are unsure, check with your pool certifier or local authority.

Important Usage Notes

• Designed for mounting Silux signs to glass. Use only for that purpose.
• Replace any cap that is worn, perished or no longer holding.
• Damage resulting from misuse, incorrect installation or unsuitable mounting surfaces will not be covered under the Silux Quality Guarantee.
• Dispose of all packaging thoughtfully and keep small parts and packaging out of reach of children.
