Safety First

• Halo is a leisure product, not a lifesaving device and not a swimming aid.
• Never leave children unattended in or near the pool, and never rely on Halo to support a non swimmer.
• Use only under competent supervision, and only in water where the user is comfortable.
• Do not dive or jump onto the float, and do not use it as a step or platform for entering the pool.

Inflating

How you inflate it matters more than anything else you will do with it.

• Use the hand pump supplied. Never use a compressor, air mattress pump or any high pressure air source.
• Inflate until firm, not hard. The fabric should still give slightly under your hand.
• Air expands in the heat. On a hot day, or if the float has been sitting in the sun out of the water, release a little air. Over inflation combined with heat is the most common cause of seam and core damage.
• Keep the float off hot concrete, tiles and pavers when inflated. Store it in the shade or in the water.

After Every Swim

• Rinse with fresh water to remove chlorine or salt. Residue left to dry will dull the fabric over time.
• Wipe the fabric down and stand or hang the float to dry.
• Check for water trapped between the cover and the inner core. If the cover feels heavy or damp inside, unzip it and allow both parts to dry separately. Moisture left between the layers is what causes odour and mildew.

Cleaning the Cover

• Wipe or hand wash with mild soap and warm water, then rinse and air dry fully.
• Do not machine wash, tumble dry or dry clean.
• Do not bleach, and do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.
• Treat sunscreen and tanning oil marks promptly. Blot with a clean cloth rather than rubbing, then wash the area with mild soapy water and rinse.

Protecting the Fabric and Core

• Keep away from sharp edges, rough concrete, jewellery, pet claws and anything abrasive.
• Avoid dragging the float across paving. Lift it instead.
• Keep away from barbecues, heaters, fire pits and any direct heat source.

Storage

• Make sure the cover and the inner core are both completely dry before storing.
• Release most of the air and store loosely rather than folded tight, so the fabric does not set into hard creases.
• Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
• If you are storing it over winter, check it is fully dry first. A float packed away damp will come out of storage marked.

Important Usage Notes

• Designed for relaxed floating in a pool. Not designed for open water, surf or boating use.
• Not designed to carry more than one person at a time.
• Halo is upholstered in double layer bonded waterproof cavalry twill with a Jiaji cloth backing, over a flexible TPU inner core. The fabric is fade resistant, not fade proof. Some softening of colour over seasons of direct sun is normal.
• Damage resulting from misuse, over inflation, sharp objects or inappropriate cleaning will not be covered under the Silux Quality Guarantee.
• Dispose of all packaging thoughtfully and keep out of reach of children.
