Mix and match across The Element Collection
Your Element pillow is made from UV treated polyester with a fast dry foam insert and piped edging. The fast dry foam is the part that makes these easy to live with, and the piping is the part that shows wear first.
Everyday Care
- Plump and reshape after use so the insert stays even and the corners stay full.
- Turn and rotate the pillows regularly. Turning them over evens out both fade and compression.
- Rinse with fresh water after chlorine or salt water splashes. Residue left to dry is what dulls the fabric over time.
Cleaning
- Spot clean with warm soapy water and a soft brush.
- Rinse thoroughly with a hose and allow to air dry completely.
- Pay attention to the piping. White piped edging picks up dirt, sunscreen and grime before the rest of the pillow shows it, and it is easier to keep clean than to bring back.
- Do not bleach and do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.
Sunscreen, Tanning Oil and Insect Repellent
- Treat these as soon as you notice them. Blot with a clean cloth rather than rubbing, then wash the area with warm soapy water and rinse.
- Oil based products are the most common cause of permanent marking on outdoor fabric. Prompt attention matters more than the product you use.
Getting Wet and Drying Out
- The fast dry foam insert is built to handle a soaking and dry out quickly.
- If a pillow does get wet, stand it on its edge with airflow on both sides rather than lying it flat.
- Make sure the insert is completely dry before storing. Trapped moisture in the fill is what causes musty odour.
Sun and Storage
- Bring your pillows undercover in heavy rain and storms.
- When not in use for extended periods, store in a cool, dry place away from prolonged UV exposure.
- The less time they spend in unbroken direct sun, the longer the colour holds.
Important Usage Notes
- Designed for outdoor seating, lounges, benches and alfresco settings.
- Water resistant, not waterproof, and not designed to be submerged or used as pool floats.
- UV treated fabric is fade resistant, not fade proof. Some softening of colour over seasons of direct sun is normal.
- Each pillow is made to be mixed and matched across The Element Collection, so slight variation between batches is normal.
- Damage resulting from misuse or inappropriate use will not be covered under the Silux Quality Guarantee.
- Dispose of all packaging thoughtfully and keep out of reach of children.
